Our HistorySandridge unofficially began in 1977 when I obtained my first show dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback. In 1979, I added a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) named Moe to the family. On August 28, 1982, Moe whelped 10 puppies, and Sandridge became a reality / was officially born. All of the Sandridge dogs were shown in both breed and obedience, and the GSP’s were also trained in fieldwork and entered in AKC hunt tests. Between 1982 and 1993 Sandridge produced several litter of shorthairs. My husband, Bill, and I were also busy with our own family, daughters Sarah and Becky, born in 1980 and '81. When Becky wanted a dog of her own, she decided on a Papillon, and Zoe became a member of the household in 1996. Since I was a “large-breed” fan, I was not serious about raising a toy dog, but a Papillon has a way of stealing one’s heart. Thus the first Sandridge Papillon puppies were born on October 12, 1998. Sandridge may be small, but I strive for the highest quality. Thank you for taking the time to visit.
