Matching the Buyer to the Right Puppy

According to the Papillon Club of America's website, "a good breeder works to match size, age, temperament of the dog properly to the new home/owners." The buyers application is the the first step in matching you with the dog that's right for you and your family.

Not everyone wants a dog for the same reason, a Papillon is not the right dog for everyone, and not a Papillons are the same. These are just a few of the reasons it is important for me to understand the reasons behind your desire for one of our puppies.

Finding Good Homes For My Puppies

The buyers application also helps me to protect my puppies. I take great care in screening my buyers. Puppies only go to home where I know they will be loved and properly cared for. Most people who find it intrusive to fill out an application are not the type of people who I want to own my puppies. Before I give you one of my puppies, I need to know something about you, and the buyers application gets us started. And if there is any question on the application that you think is too personal, give me a call or send me an email. I'll be happy to explain the reason behind every question I ask.

Why the Application Must Be Completed on Paper

Before the website, I found that I only received back about 1 in 20 of the applications I sent out to people. People would call and ask that I send them an application, and that was the last I heard from them.

Now that you can download the application from our website, people often ask why I don't want you to email the form back to me. The reason is that I want you to print it out and fill it in with the other members of your family. Getting a puppy is a big responsibility and will involve everyone in your home -- so everyone should be involved.

Before returning the application, please review the entire website. Check out the Papillon Club of America’s website. If you have questions, they may be answered there.
